SPRINGFIELD, Ore. -- Power is back on for all residents in east Springfield Friday night after a car hit a pole, leaving many residents in the dark for hours.
The Springfield Utility Board got a report of a large power outage at 8:15 p.m. in the Thurston area.
Springfield Police confirmed to KEZI 9 News that this was a result of a crash on Jasper Road. Officials said a car crashed into a pole, knocking out a transformer.
Officials said no one was injured in that crash but residents east of 42nd Street lost power.
SUB wrote in a Facebook post that crews were dispatched to the area at 8:40 p.m. They were able to restore power to all residents in east Springfield by 10 p.m.
If you are still without power, SUB suggests you reset your breaker panel. If you are still having difficulty, you're encouraged to call their outage line at 541-746-8451.
