LEBANON, Ore. -- Lebanon Police evacuated a Walmart after a suspect sent threats to several employees on Wednesday.

The Albany Democrat Herald reports that Lebanon Police Chief Frank Stevenson said a man who was apparently distraught over a recent break-up with a store employee, sent the threats through either voice or text message to employees.

As a precaution, officers evacuated and secured the Walmart in response to fears that the man had entered the store with a gun.

A witness said he saw the whole parking lot blocked off and was later told that the store was on lockdown.

Police Chief Stevenson said they did a sweep of the store and the surrounding area, but they did not find the suspect.

He said they think they know where the suspect is, but so far no arrest has been made.
