LEBANON, Ore. -- Lebabon firefighters resuscitated a dying puppy on Monday.

According to the post on Facebook, the puppy was nearly dead when firefighters began life-saving measures.

"The pup was assessed by crews and found to be mostly lifeless, with a white nose and paws and just a few gasping breaths," the post said.

Firefighters went to work to save the puppy and used a pediatric bulb suction to clear the airway and help the dog breathe.

The fire department said the puppy is now being cared for by a veteranarian and is in good condition.
