Lebanon man arrested near Mexico border in connection to double homicide

LEBANON, Ore. -- A Lebanon man was arrested in Southern California near the Mexico border Sunday in connection to a double homicide in Linn County.

Deputies said 48-year-old Brenton Wade Richmond is facing two counts of aggravated murder for the deaths of Tammy Lee Hopper, 42, and Erik Cody Jacobs, of Independence.

Officials said Hopper and Jacobs were found dead Saturday morning at a home on Shannon Place in Lebanon.

According to deputies, Hopper lived at the home on Shannon Place.

The pair died from apparent homicidal violence, according to the sheriff's office.

Deputies said they are still working to investigate this incident. They ask anyone with information to contact them.
