LEBANON, Ore. – A protest planned in Lebanon aims to get students back in the classroom.

Some parents in the Lebanon school district will be gathering starting at 5:30 p.m. ahead of a school board meeting at 6 p.m.

A participant told KEZI 9 News that parents don’t feel like they’re being heard and want more involvement in the decision.

Teachers who opted in have had their first dose of the vaccine, the parent said. And Oregon Health Authority guidelines allows schools to reopen when districts choose to do so, as long as they follow COVID-19 restrictions.
