LEBANON, Ore. – Two Lebanon parents charged with causing the death of their infant daughter were sentenced to more than six years in prison on Friday.

Kristian Lee and Shantell Swiercz will each serve six years and three months in prison. The two will also serve three years of post-prison supervision.

On Dec. 1, they each pleaded no contest to second-degree manslaughter in their infant daughter’s death.

Officials alleged that Lee and Swiercz neglected and starved one-and-a-half-month-old Sandra Lee. Investigators said Lee weighed just five pounds and four ounces when she died, which was seven ounces lighter than when she was born. No trace of food or baby formula was found in the couple’s residence.

In March, Swiercz reportedly noticed something was wrong with Lee and attempted CPR but waited two hours before calling 911.

Charges were filed against the couple at the end of April.
