EUGENE, Ore. -- The seventh annual "The Lights of New Hope" show will be opening today at the Lane County Fairgrounds.
The 10-minute show that people watch from their cars was relocated to the fairgrounds this year due to popularity and growth. Last year almost 6,000 people attended.
The show has a Northwest focus and features the Biblical account of Jesus’s birth, as well as themes from “How the Grinch Stole Christmas.”
Everyone that is a part of the show is local. The event is funded by the congregation of New Hope Eugene.
The event includes free popcorn, hot chocolate and candy canes.
The show will take place from 6 to 9 p.m every Friday, Saturday and Sunday through Dec. 16.
