Linn, Benton residents among recent coronavirus deaths, OHA says

Three Multnomah County residents have also died.

SALEM, Ore. – Six more people have died due to novel coronavirus, Oregon Health Authority said Thursday.
This brings the state death toll to 44.

Two of the recent deaths took place in Linn County and one in Benton county.

One Linn County death was a 74-year-old man who tested positive March 22 and died April 3 at his residence. The other was a 97-year-old man who tested positive March 15 and died on April 4 at his residence.

The Benton County death was a 74-year-old man who tested positive March 26 and died April 8 at Good Samaritan Regional Medical Center in Corvallis.

Three Multnomah County residents also died as a result of the virus, OHA said. Those include a 41-year-old woman who died at Oregon Health and Sciences University, an 87-year old woman who died at her home and a 66-year-old man who died at his home.
OHA said they all had underlying health conditions.

There are also 83 new cases, according to OHA’s report. They include six in Clackamas, one in Columbia, one in Curry, five in Deschutes, four in Jackson, one in Klamath, two in Lane, three in Linn, 17 in Marion, two in Morrow, 16 in Multnomah, one in Polk, one in Tillamook, three in Umatilla, 16 in Washington, and four in Yamhill.
