"It's just frustrating to not have somebody helping us to disband that. And most of those campers have now migrated from other areas," John said.

EUGENE, Ore. -- A group of local business owners is searching for a solution to the homeless camp in the Greenhill Industrial Park area on Ed Cone Boulevard.

Jenny John and her husband own the roughly eight-acre property that is outlined by the dozens of campers and tents. She said the camp's presence makes it more difficult to sell the property.

She said there have even been instances where people have pulled out of a deal because they couldn't promise the camp would be dissolved.

"It's just frustrating to not have somebody helping us to disband that. And most of those campers have now migrated from other areas," John said.

John said she and several of her peers have sent letters to city councilors and the local fire department.

However, they have not heard of any sort of solution.

John claimed several of the residents threatened her husband when he came to check on the property.

Overall, they are concerned this is a problem that is only going to get worse.
