EUGENE, Ore. -- UPDATE: A family's search for a dog that was thrown from their car during a crash in Eugene just over a week ago has come to an end. Rudy has been found and is back with her family.

Rudy's owner says since we brought you this story on KEZI 9 news at 11 p.m. Monday night, they've received several tips about where Rudy may be.

On Tuesday a woman called the owner saying Rudy had been seen by the Dari Mart on Bertelsen, close to where the car accident happened.  The owner drove down there and sure enough there was Rudy.

A local family is asking the public for help in trying to locate their dog, who was thrown from their car during a crash in Eugene.

Last Monday, Brad Haight and Crystal Hubbell were driving down West 11th heading towards Eugene.

The couple was passing Greenhill Road, when their daughter, Tiffany Haight, said an aggressive driver was messing with them.

"They tried to pass the car, it flipped the car, and the dog ended up coming missing after that," Tiffany said. "The dog ended up going out the back window and ran as far as she can down west 11th."

Tiffany said Rudy ended up at the intersection of 11th and Bertelsen.

She said people saw Rudy cross the highway and get clipped by a vehicle.

Those people tracked her down behind Dari Mart, but Rudy was scared and ran away, going north on Bertelsen.

A week later, and the family just wants her to come home.

"She's a very loved dog. We just want her home." Tiffany said. "She's a very vocal dog, too, so she will bark. But, it's not an aggressive behavior, she's just very vocal. So, if anybody can try to catch her, her name is Rudy. So, call her to them, maybe, and see if they can get her to come."

If you happen to find Rudy, you are asked to contact the family.

You can call Brad Haight at 541-321-5631, or Crystal Hubbell at 541-735-0148.

Rudy does have tags and is chipped as well.
