EUGENE, Ore. – Police have arrested a man accused of offering a teenager money for sex.
Springfield police arrested Kristian Anthony Myers, 33, of Eugene Friday morning.
Police said Myers was the suspect in a case of online sexual corruption filed with police in October.
Officers said a 15-year-old victim had placed an ad for babysitting services on Craigslist.
Police said Myers began talking with the teen. They said at first the conversations were about babysitting, but soon Myers started offering her money for sex.
They said he offered the girl $50 per hour, and eventually $5,000. They said the entire time Myers knew her true age.
Police said Myers has no children.
He was lodged at the Lane County Jail and the investigation is continuing.
