DOUGLAS COUNTY, Ore. – A man is in jail, accused of sexually abusing a child and committing similar crimes against another person 16 years ago.
The Douglas County Sheriff’s Office began investigating Dec. 28, 2020, after receiving reports of sexual abuse.
Detectives contacted suspect Delbert Hopper, 70, of Crooked River Ranch and interviewed him on Friday, Jan. 8.
Probably cause for Hopper’s arrest was reportedly developed, and the man was taken to the Douglas County Jail on two charges of first-degree sexual abuse.
