COOS BAY, Ore. -- A Coos Bay man appeared in court today after police arrested him following reports he was acting violent, broke into at least one house and strangled a dog.

This happened the night of Nov. 25th in the area of Hollywood Ln. and Grand Road in Coos Bay.

Deputies say 23-year-old Sean Tabernig tried to fight them when they arrived and they had to use a taser to bring him into custody.

They believe he was under the influence of a controlled substance at the time.
