EUGENE, Ore.-- A man accused of crashing into a west Eugene business early Wednesday morning was later arrested with an allegedly stolen firearm, according to police.
The Eugene Police Department said James Randall Lee Morgan, 36, crashed a Nissan Murano into the front of Mazama Sporting Goods on the 1000 block of Bailey Hill Road at about 3:35 a.m. He reportedly left the crash and headed toward Fred Meyer on West 11th Avenue.
According to police, officers found Morgan and detained him and found a stolen firearm. He was arrested on charges of burglary, theft, felon in possession of a weapon and hit and run.
Staff at the store were cleaning up the damage Wednesday morning and said they expect to open as usual.
