SPRINGFIELD, Ore. – A man accused of killing an ARC Lane County employee in a December 2019 traffic crash has been arraigned.
Police say Kenneth McQuown, 57, of Springfield was driving under the influence when he hit Nathan Nelson, 40, of Eugene.

Nelson had been walking with a client on 42nd Street at the time of the crash. Nathan died of injuries he sustained in the crash. The client was not injured.
Charges of DUII, second-degree manslaughter and criminally negligent homicide have been filed against McQuown.

The arraignment was held Jan. 14, and McQuown will be back in court on Feb. 18 for a pre-trial conference.
