A jury handed down a guilty verdict against Edgar Rodriguez Friday morning. It was a 10-2 vote.

The shooting happened in September of 2016.
Police said Rodriguez called 911 to report a physical dispute between a man and a woman on the 3600 block of Village Avenue. He told police that a drunk man was hitting his girlfriend and that guns were present in the apartment.
Police said Rodriguez was standing in the doorway when officers arrived and he was holding a gun.
Officers shouted at him to drop the gun but he refused. That is when officers Mark Hubbard and Timothy Hunt fired shots, hitting Rodriguez. He was taken to the hospital for his injuries. The two officers were not injured.
The district attorney ruled the shooting was justified.
Rodriguez will be sentenced in January.
