LANE COUNTY, Ore. – A man was rescued from a car after being stuck inside for 12 hours, following an accident on Forest Service Road 19 Saturday.
Officials said the car crashed down an embankment. They said a combination of snow, downed trees, and high winds made it difficult for the people in the car to see where they were going.
Officials said two other people were also in the car but were able to get out and call for help.
The man who was rescued was taken to the hospital with significant injuries.
Upper McKenzie Rural Fire, Eugene Springfield Fire and Dexter Fire all responded.
