TUALATIN, Ore. (AP) -- Authorities say a driver who was arrested after engaging authorities in a standoff in Tualatin has been identified as a man suspected in his mother's death.
The Oregonian/OregonLive reports that Oregon State Police say Gavin Smith-Brown, 29, is suspected in the homicide of 65-year-old Gayla Smith. Smith was found dead Sunday at a home they shared.
Smith-Brown was arrested before 6 a.m. Thursday after holing up in a car in a McDonald's restaurant parking lot, said Tualatin police spokeswoman Jennifer Massey.
