EUGENE, Ore.--- A man was taken to Riverbend hospital after police responded to an assault with injury on the 4700 block on West 11th Avenue in Eugene.

Eugene police were dispatched to The Keg Tavern for a robbery.

According to police, the victim said he was confronted by two males, one of which pointed a gun and ordered him out of the vehicle. The other reportedly struck the victim with a handgun multiple times. Then, the victim was reportedly ordered to pull his pants down before the two suspects fled in the vehicle.

Officials said the vehicle is a stolen rental car. They said the vehicle is a 2020 white Ford Fusion with a California license plate.

Police were able to find the stolen vehicle at the dead end of South Terry Street near Owen Loop. The vehicle was reportedly unoccupied but witnesses told police that a man and woman parked and left the vehicle about an hour prior to officers arriving.

Police said both suspects remain outstanding at this time.
