Marion County man dies of coronavirus, OHA says

The state total of cases in nearing 2,000.

SALEM, Ore. – One more person has died as a result of coronavirus, Oregon Health Authority announced Monday.

A total of 47 new cases were added to the state total, as well, bringing it to 1,956 cases.

They include one in Benton, 10 in Clackamas, one in Douglas, one in Klamath, one in Lincoln, two in Linn, 13 in Marion, six in Multnomah, one in Polk, one in Umatilla, nine in Washington and one in Yamhill.

The death took place at a residence in Marion County. OHA said a 45-year-old man tested positive April 14 and died April 18; he had underlying health conditions.

A case previously reported in Jackson County has been moved out of state after further consideration.
