Mobile home fire kills one in Winchester

Officials said firefighters arrived on the scene on Northeast Stephens Street around 7 a.m. where they found heavy fire throughout the entire home.

WINCHESTER, Ore. – One person died after a mobile home caught fire on Sunday.

Officials said firefighters arrived on the scene on Northeast Stephens Street around 7 a.m. where they found heavy fire throughout the entire home.

They said they were able to contain the fire in 10 minutes.

The Douglas County Sheriff’s Office has yet to identify the person who died as they are waiting for next of kin to be notified.
