EUGENE, Ore. -- A Eugene mother will spend nearly two months in jail after her son ate drugged candy.

Nicole Fetters changed her plea to guilty Tuesday morning to charges of criminal mistreatment and child neglect.

The judge sentenced her to 55 days in the Lane County Jail.

She will also serve three years probation. If she violates her probation, Fetters will spend a year and three months in prison. She also can't have any contact with her son.

Prosecutors said Gary Baughman was caring for the 2-year-old boy when he ingested the candy back in November. Baughman will also serve time.
