ROSEBURG, Ore. – A Nebraska man died in a rollover crash Saturday night west of Roseburg.

The pickup truck driven by Dennis M. Dandridge, 53, of Bellevue, Neb., was traveling at high speed when Dandridge tried to make a sharp correction, lost control and rolled the truck several times, officials said. Dandridge was thrown from the truck and died.

Bystanders responded to the crash and performed lifesaving efforts until emergency responders arrived, the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office said.

The crash happened at 7:50 p.m. on Garden Valley Road near Melrose Road. Dandridge was driving a 1998 Ford F-150 pickup. He was the only occupant.

The sheriff’s office said speed and alcohol appear to be contributing factors in the crash.
