DIXIONVILLE, Ore. -- Neighbors of a proposed drug and alcohol rehab facility in Douglas County are saying the sale has fallen through.
In December, True North Star Ministries and the We Believe in 2nd Chances Foundation were raising money to build the 2nd Chance Ranch, an all-male rehab facility that would have been on a 400-acre property on Grouse Butte Lane.
The foundation was trying to purchase the ranch for $1.3 million. Foundation members claimed they were $50,000 short for their security deposit.
However, neighbors said they have confirmed with the property owner that the sale was terminated last month due to the buyer’s lack of funds.
The owners have since re-listed the property for sale.
Foundation members told KEZI 9 News that they are still raising money to purchase the property.
