EUGENE, Ore. – Nonstop flights to the Hollywood Burbank Airport are coming to the Eugene Airport soon.
Eugene will be one of 12 airports featuring flights by startup budget airline Avelo.
“We are thrilled to have been selected as one of the inaugural airports to be served by America’s first new mainline airline in more than a decade,” said Acting Eugene Airport Director Cathryn Stephens.
The service will begin May 12. Airport officials said flights will operate four days a week – Sunday, Monday, Wednesday and Friday -- on the airline’s 189-seat Boeing 737-800 aircraft.
Flights from Burbank to Eugene will run from 7:10 a.m. to 9:15 a.m. and flights from Eugene to Burbank will run from 9:55 a.m. to 12:10 p.m.
Passengers can choose from several seating options, including an extra legroom section.
