NORTH BEND, Ore. --- The North Bend community is mourning the loss of three of their members who were murdered on Friday: 47-year-old Jennifer Davidson, 83-year-old Charles Nicholson, and 74-year-old Anthony Oyster.
Police said the suspect 30-year-old Oen Nicholson turned himself in to Wisconsin Authorities on Sunday morning.
"There are a lot of people in this small community that are very protective of each other," Adam Jones, North Bend resident said. "Had he just managed to disappear and never been seen again, it would have left a lot of people searching for answers."
North Bend Chief of Police Robert Kappelman got emotional as he reflected on the lost lives of some beloved community members.
"The work for these families that have been affected by this can't be done without the support from all around, and we felt that," Kappelman said.
North Bend Mayor Jessica Engelke also issued a statement.
“Words fall short of describing the tragedy that took place on Friday and the ensuing events in Lane County, and we are all left incredibly shaken," Engelke said.
Officials believe Charles Nicholson is the father of Oen Nicholson.
However, the relationship between the suspect and the other victims is unclear at this time.
