NORTH BEND, Ore. -- The suspect in the triple murder in North Bend, 30-year-old Oen Nicholson, was apprehended all the way in Wisconsin.
According to court documents, Nicholson had been staying at the Mill Casino since October. Police say this is where he killed his 83-year-old father, Charles Nicholson.
Linda and Anthony Oyster were also allegedly struck by Oen Nicholson. The documents also say the couple was walking near the Mill Casino and RV Park when they were hit by a 2019 White Dodge pickup truck allegedly driven by Oen Nicholson. The investigator on the case said there is no reason the truck should have veered off the road and hit the couple and it appeared to be intentional. Anthony died on the scene, and Linda is at RiverBend Hospital in Springfield in critical condition.
Oen Nicholson also allegedly killed Jennifer Davidson at the Herbal Choices Marijuana Dispensary.
A close friend of Davidson was Jenny Harless. Harless said it's difficult to describe how she feels about her friend and former colleague's death.
"It's a mixture of a bunch of emotions honestly," Harless said. "It's confusion and anger. Honestly, I feel like she took the bullet for a lot of us, because there's a lot of us who work within the company and she was in the wrong spot at the wrong time."
Harless also went on to say that Davidson was bright and a motherly figure to everyone she knew.
Coos County District Attorney Paul Frasier was unable to comment at this time due to the ongoing investigation.
