OHA: 23 new COVID-19 cases statewide; 1 in Lane County

EUGENE, Ore.-- Oregon Health Authority reported 23 new cases of coronavirus on Saturday, including one death and another case in Lane County.

This brings the statewide total to 137 cases and four deaths. This is the third case in Lane County, where one person died of the virus last week.

No information has been made available about the new Lane County case, including where the person lives and if they had underlying medical conditions. Lane County Public Health is organizing a press conference for Saturday afternoon.

Oregon's fourth death was a 72-year-old woman in Marion County with underlying medical conditions, who tested positive on March 15 and died March 20 at Kaiser Permanente Sunnyside Medical Center.

The other cases identified Saturday include one in Clackamas County, one in Deschutes County, one in Josephine County, two in Marion County, six in Multnomah County and 11 in Washington County.
