OHA reports 227 new cases

The new cases bring the state total to 21,488 since the start of the pandemic.

PORTLAND, Ore. – There are 227 new confirmed and presumptive cases of COVID-19 in the state on Monday, the Oregon Health Authority said.

The new cases bring the state total to 21,488 since the start of the pandemic.

Of the new cases, there are two in Baker, 10 in Clackamas, one in Columbia, two in Crook, seven in Deschutes, two in Hood River, eight in Jackson, 11 in Jefferson, five in Lane, two in Lincoln, three in Linn, 21 in Malheur, 27 in Marion, 15 in Morrow, 45 in Multnomah, six in Polk, 15 in Umatilla, 37 in Washington and eight in Yamhill.

There is one newly reported death. OHA said an 88-year-old Multnomah County man died Aug. 5 at his home. He had underlying conditions.
