OHA reports 59 new cases in Oregon

There are 59 new confirmed and presumptive cases in the state, Oregon Health Authority said Monday.

SALEM, Ore. – There are 59 new confirmed and presumptive cases in the state, Oregon Health Authority said Monday.

This brings the state total to 4,302. The new cases include five in Clackamas, two in Deschutes, one in Jackson, 11 in Jefferson, one in Josephine, four in Lane, three in Lincoln, two in Linn, 13 in Marion, one in Morrow, six in Multnomah, two in Polk, four in Umatilla and four in Washington.

Lane County reported nine new cases and one new death related to coronavirus between Friday and Monday.

In OHA’s daily update Monday, they added a death to the state toll, bringing it to 154. They said the latest death is a 59-year-old Marion County man who tested positive May 29 and died the same day at Salem Hospital. He had underlying medical conditions, OHA said.
