OHA reports 7 more coronavirus-related deaths

There are 31 new cases.

SALEM, Ore. – Seven more people have died due to coronavirus in the state, Oregon Health Authority announced Tuesday.

The death toll has risen to 99.

OHA said the deaths happened in four counties.

In Clackamas County, a 93-year-old woman tested positive April 17 and died April 17 at her home.

A 73-year-old Marion County man tested positive March 30 and died April 26 at Salem hospital and a 92-year-old Marion County man tested positive April 20 and died April 25 at Salem hospital.

In Multnomah County, a 93-year-old woman tested positive April 17 and died April 26 at Legacy Mt. Hood Medical Center, a 69-year-old woman tested positive April 17 and died April 23 at Adventist Medical Center, and a 72-year-old man tested positive April 24 and died April 26 at Legacy Mt. Hood Medical Center.

The last of the new deaths took place in Yamhill County. A 91-year-old man tested positive April 25 and died April 26 at Providence Newberg Medical Center.

OHA said they all had underlying health conditions.

There are also 31 new cases as of Tuesday, bringing the state total to 2,385. The new cases include one in Clackamas, one in Coos, one in Harney, one in Klamath, two in Linn, nine in Marion, one in Morrow, 13 in Multnomah, one in Umatilla, one in Wasco, and one in Yamhill.

The Coos County case is a staff member at Shutter Creek Correctional Institute, which now has 15 positive cases. Thirteen are inmates.

One case initially counted as a Washington County case is now considered a Multnomah County case.
