OHA reports mill outbreak and 33 new cases

Three more have died.

SALEM, Ore. – The Oregon Health Authority reported 33 new confirmed and presumptive coronavirus cases on Tuesday.

Officials also announced an outbreak at Bob’s Red Mill in Clackamas County. OHA said at least 13 cases are involved in the outbreak, which started May 27. The investigation is ongoing. Risk to the public is considered to be low.

The newly reported cases bring the state total to 4,335. They include one in Benton, four in Hood River, two in Lincoln, one in Linn, eight in Marion, 10 in Multnomah, one in Umatilla, two in Wasco, and four in Washington.

Three more people have also died as a result of coronavirus, bringing the state death toll to 157.

A 36-year-old Multnomah County woman died May 31 and a 66-year-old Multnomah County woman died May 22. In Washington County, an 81-year-old woman died May 26. They all had underlying health conditions, OHA said.
