Corvallis, OR -- Oregon State baseball knew they'd be hosting a regional. The Beavers just didn't know who. That question was answered during the NCAA Selection Show for the Division I Baseball Championship.
The Beavers road to repeat begins against Cincinnati at 7 p.m. Friday at Goss Stadium. The No. 2 seed Creighton will take on No. 3 Michigan at 1 p.m.
"Staying home for the young guys is huge," OSU starting pitcher Bryce Fehmel said. "They'll be able to sleep in their own beds, stick to their routines. It'll be nice."
Cincinnati is 30-29 overall after winning the American Athletic Conference tournament.
Creighton comes in at 38-11 and is the Big East tournament champion while Michigan is 41-18 with a win over No. 1 UCLA this season.
OSU is also paired on the same side of the bracket as the Bruins setting up a potential Pac-12 matchup in the super regional.
"You know we've had a lot of guys in big situations," infielder Andy Armstrong said. "Obviously we have some guys that haven't experienced that. I think they're ready to go. We're looking forward to it."
This is the third consecutive time the Beavers are hosting a regional.
