CORVALLIS, Ore. -- The sixth round of door-to-door trace testing for Oregon State University resumes Saturday.
Thirty teams will be going throughout Corvallis neighborhoods to invite community members to participate in getting tested for COVID-19.
If you choose to participate, you will be asked to provide information such as your name and date of birth, along with a few confidential and health-related questions. You will also need to fill out a consent form.
Each participant is given a nasal-swab test kit that they administer to themselves and to their minor children if they want them to take part.
Field staff will wait outside, and the participants will leave the completed test kits outside their front door.
All nasal swab samples containing the virus, as well as wastewater samples will be genetically sequenced to find out if any variants are present in Corvallis.
The sampling will also take place Sunday.
