CORVALLIS, Ore. -- The Oregon State University Board of Trustees will meet Wednesday to discuss findings released regarding president F. King Alexander while he was president at Lousiana State University.

This comes after a 262 page scathing report from the law firm Husch Blackwell who published that LSU repeatedly mishandled Title IX claims during Alexander's time as president.

The report highlights the actions of Les Miles who was the football coach at the time. He is accused of harassing and abusing multiple women.

The OSU board of trustees said they will meet to consider next steps and potentially take action after their meeting slated to begin at 12:30 p.m.

Students say they need to hear from Alexander.

"I hope that there's accountability," said senior Sophie Waterman. "I hope there's a conversation of him to be fully transparent into what happened at LSU and what's he's planning to do to fix himself here and become more accountable. I don't think cancel culture is the answer, but I think accountability is extremely important and if he's gooing to take those steps to be accountable then great, but if he's not, then 'see you later."'

Students say they feel safe on campus for the most part, but they also said despite there being a selection of mental health and reporting options for students, they aren't always the most accessible.

"I feel like we're always offered these things and then when we try to reach out there's no availability or something like that so there definitely needs to be more resources to provide safety and comfort and just people to talk to," said sophomore Claire Glazer.

KEZI staff reached out to the Survivor Advocacy & Resource Center on campus for their thoughts and they did not respond.
