EUGENE, Ore. -- The suspect involved in a barricaded situation in Eugene has been safely taken into custody.
There is no on-going threat to the public, officials say.
Updates including charges and identity of the suspect will be provided as they become available.
Lane County Sheriff's Office deputies had responded to a residence within the Ponderosa Mobile Village in Eugene.
According to officials, a restraining order was actively being violated in the 3000 block of Franklin Blvd. When they arrived around 11:30 p.m, they found a suspect barricaded within the residence who has armed herself with a firearm.
Deputies negotiated with her for nearly eight hours.
The protected party of the order was able to leave the residence.
