SPRINGFIELD, Ore.-- The suspect in a north Springfield shooting that sent one man to the hospital early Friday morning is still on the loose.
Springfield Police confirmed that the shooting happened shortly after 3 a.m. on R Street near 28th Street. According to police on scene, the victim was taken by ambulance to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
Officers and K9 units were on scene early in the morning, but cleared the area around 5:30 a.m. Authorities said there is no ongoing threat to the public.
