One person killed in crash near Brownsville

OR 228 Halsey-Sweet Home Highway is back open after it was closed for nearly four hours.

LINN COUNTY, Ore. -- Oregon State Police said one person is dead after a two-vehicle crash early Sunday morning on OR 228 at milepost 4, which is located about two miles west of Brownsville.

OR 228 Halsey-Sweet Home Highway is back open after it was closed for nearly four hours.

The closure started around 4 a.m.

Officials with the Oregon Department of Transportation said to watch out for crews in the area.
