SALEM, Ore. -- The Oregon Republican Party condemned the 10 Republican lawmakers who voted to impeach former President Donald Trump and called the Jan. 6th insurrection a "false flag."
The state Republican party says there is growing evidence that the violence at the U.S. Capitol was a "false flag" operation designed to discredit Trump, his supporters and "all conservative Republicans."

There is no evidence to support the Oregon Republican Party's claims.
The Oregon State Democrats released a statement saying in part, "In the era of Trump, the Oregon GOP has seemingly given up on any effort to appeal to a majority of Oregonians."
The Democratic Party of Oregon also said the Oregon Republican Party leadership has increasingly aligned itself with far-right conspiracy theories, and is now passing resolutions that falsely suggest the insurrection on the U.S. Capitol was a "false flag" operation, likening it to the Reichstag Fire in Germany in 1933.
