Oregon sees 24 new confirmed cases, OHA says

SALEM, Ore. – Oregon Health Authority reported 24 new confirmed cases of coronavirus in the state on Thursday.

This brings the state total to 3,817, OHA said.

The new cases include one in Coos, one in Deschutes, one in Jefferson, three in Malheur, four in Marion, eight in Multnomah, three in Umatilla, and three in Washington.

A 93-year-old Polk County woman is the latest to die in connection with the virus. She tested positive May 2 and died May 20 at her home. OHA said she had underlying health conditions.

The death toll is now 145.

OHA said they have adjusted the count after two confirmed cases out of Josephine County were determined to not be cases.
