EUGENE, Ore. -- The Oregon Ducks' football team practice in Eugene for the final time Saturday, before heading home for winter break. The next time the Ducks reunite, will be in Pasadena, California on Christmas day to begin the final preparation for the Rose Bowl game against the Wisconsin Badgers.

"They have a workout plan with them, a fundamental and technique plan with them as well. As well as test tips and reminders that go with them, so that, you know we want them to be; we want them to spend time with their families and never get too far away from football," said head coach Mario Cristobal. "You know when we arrive their it's going to be hit the ground running. There's several unbelievable events that we have to, we're going to take part in and we're honored to do so, but that also shrinks your time. And what you don't want is to have your focus and concentration altered as you prepare for a great opponent.">

In 2017, Oregon Duck fans watched Royce Freeman sit out of the Las Vegas Bowl, as Oregon lost to Boise State 38-28. Cristobal was excited to announce that no player is expected to sit out the bowl game this year. However, he did mention four underclassmen will seek NFL evaluations. The players are defensive tackles, Jordon Scott and Austin Faoliu, and defensive backs, Thomas Graham Jr. and Deommodore Lenoir.

Cristobal said, "You know as a team we always make it an agreement, have an agreement before the season starts to make sure that we always discuss that after our responsibilities of the season are taken care of. The guys have held true to their word, we hold true to our word together, and that way we can provide them with the right stuff."

From a health stand point, Cristobal said Mycah Pittman has been practicing, but has been wearing a red jersey so he is not tackled to the ground. A decision on whether the freshman receiver will play or not, will be made closer to the game.

Oregon will take on Wisconsin in the 106th Rose Bowl on January 1st, 2020. The game is set to air on ESPN at 2:00 p.m.
