EUGENE, Ore. -- Bounty hunters are patroling the streets of Eugene, but they're looking for stranded bikes -- not fugitives.
This is all part of the PeaceHealth Rides program.

Brian Wright signed up for the program and decided he could help out the bikesharing program by becoming a "bounty hunter."

Wright works for The Duck Store on 13th Avenue and Kincaid Street, but in his downtime, he runs.
When PeaceHealth Rides started in May, he saw it as a great opportunity to help out while working out.
"Essentially I like the fact that I'm helping rebalance everything, which is good customer service for PeaceHealth bikes," Wright said. "Because if there's bikes in the hubs and people can always get them, that's much better than if somebody comes to the hubs and they're always empty."

Wright said for $15 a month, anyone can sign up and become a bounty hunter.
He said because you get a dollar for every bike you return, you can return 15 in a month to pay for your membership.
