EUGENE, Ore. – Gildenstern is a calm, mellow pit bull terrier mix who will make a great companion for the right person.

This sweet guy is 5 years old and weighs about 60 pounds. He has playful moments, but is mainly a relaxed, polite dog.

While he doesn’t have a history with children, Gildenstern’s friendly, gentle nature means he could probably join a family with children.

Favorite activities for this dog would likely be cuddling and spending a relaxed evening with his favorite people. Staff say he is such a sweet dog he is hard to resist.

Gildenstern arrived at Greenhill as a transfer from another shelter. His adoption fee is $85, which includes the cost of vaccinations, microchip identification, spaying or neutering, a certificate for a free veterinary exam and more.

Gildenstern visited KEZI 9 News as Pet of the Week. Every Tuesday, KEZI showcases homeless pets on the Midday newscast at 11 a.m. If you are interested in Gildenstern or other animals at Greenhill Humane Society, click here.

Greenhill Humane Society is located at 88530 Green Hill Road and is open daily from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Its phone number is 541-689-1503.

To ensure a good match is made, potential adopters must go to the animal shelter in person to meet with the animal and kennel staff. All family members should be present to ensure the animal is compatible with everyone in the household.
