EUGENE, Ore. – Honey is a 13-year-old mixed breed dog looking for a family that will give her a calm place to relax and enjoy her senior years.
Honey enjoys lounging in her bed or sunbathing outside. She is a sweet, friendly dog that shelter staff members describe as a “cuddle bug.”
Honey could live with children old enough to respect her boundaries. She has lived with other dogs in the past and could do so again. She could also live with dog-savvy cats.
She weighs 16 pounds and her fee is $85. This includes the cost of vaccinations, microchip identification, spaying or neutering, a certificate for a free veterinary exam and more.
Honey visited KEZI 9 News on Tuesday as Pet of the Week. Every Tuesday, KEZI showcases homeless pets on the Midday newscast at 11 a.m. If you are interested in Honey or other animals at First Avenue Shelter or Greenhill Humane Society, click here.
Greenhill Humane Society is currently undergoing a renovation. To see one of the shelter dogs call Greenhill at 541-689-1503 to make an appointment.
Greenhill Humane Society is located at 88530 Green Hill Road. Greenhill hours are Friday through Tuesday from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. It is closed Wednesday and Thursday.
To ensure a good match is made, potential adopters must go to the animal shelter in person to meet with the animal and kennel staff. All family members should be present to ensure the dog is compatible with everyone in the household.
