EUGENE, Ore. – Makenna is a 5-year-old American pit bull terrier mix who likes people and is looking for an active family that will give her daily exercise.

Makenna was a stray who arrived at Greenhill Humane Society in December. She is in foster care at present to give her a break from the stress of shelter living.

Makenna is playful and enjoys cuddling with her people. She relaxed quickly during her visit to KEZI, giving a friendly greeting to everyone she met.

Makenna must go to a household where she will be the only pet. She can go to a family that has older children.

Makenna weighs about 50 pounds and her adoption fee is $85. This includes the cost of vaccinations, microchip identification, spaying or neutering, a certificate for a free veterinary exam and more.

Every Tuesday, Greenhill Humane Society showcases homeless pets on KEZI 9 News Midday at 11 a.m.

If you are interested in Makenna or any other animals at Greenhill Humane Society, call 541-689-1503 or click here.

To ensure a good match is made, potential adopters must go to Greenhill in person to meet with the animal and kennel staff. All family members should be present to ensure the dog is compatible with everyone in the household.
