EUGENE, Ore. – McGee is a large, pit bull terrier mix who is looking for a family with a yard where he can run around outside and play in the sunshine.

Staff members at Greenhill Humane Society describe him as a big, lovable, goofy dog who is one-of-a-kind and full of joy.

McGee can go to a family with older children and he should be the only pet in the home. He will need regular exercise and mental stimulation, plus some obedience training to work on basic skills. Ideally his new family will have some experience with bully breeds and be willing to commit to his training to help him learn how to be a great dog.

He is 2 years old and weighs about 80 pounds. His fee is $200, which will help pay for shelter expenses such as spaying and neutering, vaccinations, permanent microchip identification, a certificate for a free veterinary exam, post-adoption support and more.

McGee was Tuesday’s Pet of the Week on KEZI 9 News. Every Tuesday, KEZI showcases a homeless pet on the Midday newscast at 11 a.m. and again at 4 p.m.
