Eugene, Ore. --- On Saturday morning hundreds of people braved extremely cold temperatures to raise money for Special Olympics Oregon at the 11th annual Oregon Law Enforcement Polar Plunge.
Teams that signed up ran willingly into the Willamette River which warmed up to a toasty 46 degrees this morning for the event.
The money raised every year helps the organization keep up their work providing sports for those with special needs in our community.
