SPRINGFIELD, Ore. – A man is accused of threatening police officers with a bow and arrow and a knife in Springfield.

Police said they were called to the Motel 6 on International Way Wednesday night and found Jordan Loew rising a bike with his bow and arrow on his handlebars.

When an officer tried to stop him, police said he started riding with no hands and began loading an arrow into the bow. The officer used his car to knock him to the ground.

Police said when Loew tried to run, they shot him four times with bean bags. Officers said each time, Loew stopped and threatened officers with a knife.

Officers eventually caught up with Loew and arrested him.

'This is a guy who really needed to be taken into custody, it could've been a heck of a lot worse," said Springfield Police Lt. Scott McKee.
