SPRINGFIELD, Ore. -- Springfield Police are still looking for information about a suspect after a high speed chase Saturday.
Sergeant Pete Kirtpatrick with SPD said officers tried to pull over an unplated motorcycle just after 7:00 p.m. near 14th and South A Street.
The driver did not pull over and that's when Kirtpatrick said police began to chase after the motorcycle.
The individual led police on a lengthy chase driving on multiple freeways and ending up in Creswell before leading them back to Eugene where they say they ended the pursuit due to a potential protest in the area.
Kirtpatrick said speeds got up to 115 MPH on the freeway and 70 MPH in town.
They have not made any arrests at this time.
