CORVALLIS, Ore. -- A Corvallis man is in jail after being accused of suffocating and kidnapping a woman.

Police arrested Shahin Templin around 10:30 a.m. on Friday for multiple domestic violence crimes.

A woman told police Templin pinned her to the ground with his knee, covered her nose and mouth with his hand, and poured water on her face.

She also told police about other times he had allegedly assaulted her.

She reported that on Thursday, Templin picked her up and threw her on the bed, refusing to let her leave after an argument.

She claims he dragged her from her apartment and slammed her head with a door during the Halloween weekend.

Templin was arrested for strangulation, attempted assault, assault, reckless endangering and kidnapping.
